Engr. Juwairia Asad
Biography
Juwairia Asad serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at NED University of Engineering and Technology in Karachi. She earned her Master’s in Structural Engineering with a 3.96 CGPA, focusing on blast-resistant structures, and placed 7th in her undergraduate cohort. Her research centers on finite element modeling, structural resistance to blast forces, and the strengthening and retrofitting of reinforced concrete structures. Skilled in ABAQUS, AUTOCAD, REVIT, MATLAB, and SAP2000, she couples computational tools with practical design to educate future engineers while overseeing student research in experimental and computational techniques to improve structural safety and sustainability. Juwairia intends to pursue significant research that improves the safety and sustainability of constructed environments.
