Engr. Yousuf Iqbal
Biography
Muhammad Yousuf Iqbal is a Civil Engineer specializing in Structural and Earthquake Engineering. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Structural Earthquake Engineering at NED University, where his research focuses on the cyclic behavior of reinforced concrete (RC) beam-column joints. As part of his doctoral work, he has conducted full-scale experimental testing of RC beam-column joint specimens at the Cowasjee Earthquake Study Centre (CESNED), gaining substantial expertise in experimental structural testing and instrumentation. With extensive teaching experience at NED University and Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology, he has developed a strong academic foundation in structural analysis, mechanics of solids, and engineering surveying. His technical proficiency includes advanced finite element (FE) modeling using ATENA, ABAQUS, and OpenSees, focusing on nonlinear behavior and seismic performance of RC structures.
