Biography

Adnan Rais Ahmed is a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at NED University of Engineering & Technology, Pakistan. He has a Master’s in Structural Engineering and a PhD in progress. He has developed expertise in Civil, Structural and Earthquake engineering. He has been actively involved in both national and international research projects related to seismic assessment and infrastructure resilience. His research work spans across macro numerical modelling assessments across structural and earthquake engineering disciplines, focused on risk and vulnerability assessments, and mitigation techniques, for buildings and lifeline infrastructures. His professional background also includes practical structural design experience while working the local design industry, where he contributed to a wide range of projects from high-rise buildings to hospitals and academic institutions.
