Engr. Syeda Hiba Haider

Biography

Engr. Syeda Hiba Haider Zaidi is a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil and Structural Engineering from NED University. Her academic and research interests include sustainable construction materials, lightweight concrete composites, and affordable housing technologies. Her postgraduate research focused on developing Foamed Cementitious Composite (FCC) Blocks for sustainable non-load-bearing applications. She has served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Affordable Housing and Sustainable Built Environment (CAHSBE). Engr. Hiba has coordinated national workshops, model home projects, and contributed to International Civil Engineering Conference (ICEC) organizing committees. She also supervises final-year projects and supports student-led experimental studies, promoting innovation and academic excellence.
